Eastern Funding Hosts Successful Workshops in the Texas

Eastern Funding recently hosted two successful Laundry Business Workshops in Texas. The first workshop was held in Houston on Wednesday, April 9th, followed by a second one in Dallas on Thursday, April 10th. Both workshops drew a substantial audience, comprising laundromat owners, prospective investors, and other industry participants.

The events showcased several dynamic speakers who delved into a range of topics, such as best practices for laundromats, how to transform your laundry business, differentiation in a competitive market, and more.

Eastern Funding Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tony Regan commenced the workshop by addressing the various headwinds and challenges encountered in the laundry industry. Among the challenges he highlighted were inflation, interest rates, insurance costs, labor shortages, construction delays, and rising water fees. He emphasized the need for strategic planning to navigate these issues effectively.

Transforming an Industry was another significant topic addressed by Eastern Funding Co-Founder Brian Grell. He detailed the essential steps necessary to effectively prepare for a successful laundry business. Among the important aspects he emphasized was the importance of exceptional customer service. Brian stressed the need for continuous training to enhance staff skills and improve overall service quality. Furthermore, he emphasized the significance of maintaining your laundromat with modern laundry equipment, effective store signage, clean restrooms, and other essential elements.

Brian concluded his presentation by emphasizing the significance of being a philanthropic owner in the laundry industry. He highlighted how such an approach can positively impact the community. His remarks underscored the value of social responsibility in business practices.

Afterword’s, our lineup of dynamic speakers took the stage. Co-Founder of Laundry CEO, Waleed Cope, touched on the topic, differentiation in a competitive market. One of the main points he highlighted in his presentation was how important it is to “Create an Exceptional Client Experience for your Laundromat customers”.

Larry Trapani, the President of Brooks Waterburn Corp, delivered a presentation focused on insurance. He highlighted essential aspects of the market, including insurance premiums and provided valuable advice on crucial coverage that laundromat owners should consider safeguarding their businesses.

Folde founder, Mark Vlaskamp gave his presentation on the topic: Laundry Operation Best Practices. A key tip Mark mentioned during his presentation was “document your operation”. He expressed how important it is to always document your procedures to ensure clarity and continuity.
